Imtiaz Hussain is a British investor with over three decades of leadership experience across investment banking, asset management, wealth and investment management. His career spans multiple economic and investment cycles, with extensive experience in public and private markets, investment strategy, capital formation and institutional relationship management. He brings together financial expertise, industry specialisation, relationships with private capital, commercial leadership and a global network to connect capital with investment opportunities, transformative businesses and long-term value creation.

Imtiaz began his financial career at Citibank, before advancing into senior executive positions at leading international financial institutions. He was Executive Vice President and Fund Manager at Century Financial in Dubai, investing across public and private markets. His career also includes Director at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management and Partner at St. James’s Place, establishing extensive experience across institutional banking, investment management, private wealth and international financial services.

As Chief Executive Officer of UK-GCC Private Capital, Imtiaz leads an investor-led international platform connecting Sovereign Wealth Funds, Family Offices, Institutional LPs, Asset Owners, Asset Managers, Private Equity and Venture Capital firms, Investment Funds and innovative businesses across the UK, GCC, Europe, United States and global markets. His leadership focuses on strengthening institutional investment relationships, facilitating cross-border capital formation and developing strategic partnerships that connect investors, fund managers and businesses with investment opportunities.

Imtiaz is also a Partner at Icon Asset Management AG, Switzerland, where he focuses on investment management, capital formation and strategic investment opportunities. Previously, as Managing Director and Head of Middle East at Alexa Capital, he led strategic advisory activities spanning mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic capital raising, debt advisory, infrastructure financing, recapitalisations and special situations, including transactions supporting the energy transition.
